The Toolkit has several Test Design tools that let you reduce/select Test Combinations, and a variety of Test Data Generators that can help build test inputs quickly. Please register and explore!

  7. How are the tools useful to testers?

They save time for the tester in terms of doing routine things and hence allow them to get more creative. Test Managers can experience increased Test Productivity.

  8. What is the environment/software supported by TestersDesk.com?

By tool-design, and by virtue of being Online, TestersDesk.com is completely system-independent.

  9. Do the tools in TestersDesk.com support exporting of generated test data?

Sure. Before the results get displayed, there is an option that lets you download them directly in most cases. You can also do so from the displayed results with a few additional yet intuitive steps.

  10. Can I make use of the test data generated in Test Automation tools?

Yes. Many of our users leverage the generated results both manually or by feeding the data into Test Automation tools like QTP etc.

  11. How are the tools at TestersDesk.com themselves tested?

Our company eats its own dog food.

We use our Pairwise TestCase Generator to reduce test combinations (in fact for testing all the tools along several test parameters, it ran into millions and we reduced it to a few dozen and found about 40% of the bugs in the first system test cycle itself).

We use our own Test Data Generators to feed test inputs into other tools.

This is a topic of internal and external argument, but the bottom-line is it has improved our Test Productivity.

  12. What are some of the technical limitations in the toolkits provided by TestersDesk.com?

While we provide rich UI tabs for enabling the workflow of a tester, they currently cannot be more than 10 (keeping browser's capabilities in view, we designed it like that).

The request size (through the screen or through a file upload) cannot be more than 200KB. If you enter a situation where it is more than that send us an e-mail and we will process and give back the results.

For individual tool level constraints, please refer to the respective Tool Information section in the tool.
